Para's new Power Extractor (or PXT™) eliminates the weakest link in the original design of the 1911. The massive claw of the Power Extractor, right, is 50% larger than a conventional extractor, left, giving you positive feeding and extraction every shot.
During research and development of the Power Extractor, we took a barrel and machined rings in the chamber so that when a round was fired the case could not come out. When the pistol was fired, the PXT did not pull off the lodged case, instead it ripped right through the rim. If the case had been a normal stuck case, it would have come out of the chamber, preventing a double feed.
The Para match-grade trigger with overtravel stop eliminates backlash for a clean, crisp break. Align the sights, press the trigger, and hit your target. The best trigger brings out the champion in you.
The new Para Lite Hawgs have an integral light rail, so you can positively identify your target in low light. The Lite Hawgs give you a choice of ten rounds of .45 ACP or a dozen rounds of 9mm in the magazine. The X2 combination mini-light and laser from Insight Technology is sold separately.
Para's skeletonized spur hammer has a faster lock time than conventional hammers. You get a clean, crisp release of the hammer each time you press our match-grade trigger, allowing you to break the shot precisely as you come on target.
Para is the only manufacturer that allows you to make your best shot every shot because all of our Warthogs have match grade 3-inch cone barrels for exceptional accuracy in micro-compact pistols.
At Para, we believe that providing you with the best pistol you can own means that we will stand behind that pistol 100% for as long as you own it. Since the beginning of the Millennium, Para has offered a Lifetime Service Policy to each original retail purchaser of its pistols.
This means that we will provide the original retail purchaser of any one of our pistols with all necessary service, free of charge, for the lifetime of the pistol, where adjustment or repair is required due to some defect in materials or workmanship.
To hit your target, and to hit it quickly, your pistol needs to have highly visible sights. The Para Limited pistols provide you with the ultimate sight picture that is adjustable for your ammunition.
Para uses only premium cocobolo for our wood stocks. Cocobolo has twice the density of walnut making it the wood of choice for the best handgun stocks. Its natural color ranges from red-orange to deep burgundy. We checker it with the classic double-diamond pattern and insert the Para gold medallion in the center of the stocks.
One of the most respected publications in the firearms field, Guns & Ammo magazine, has awarded its prestigious annual "Gunny" award to the Para LDA an unprecedented four times: in 1999 for the 14.45 LDA; in 2000 for the 7.45 LDA; in 2001 for the Para Carry; and in 2003 for the Para CCW, cited as "the optimum concealed carry pistol."
